YUNNAN PROVINCE

Shangri-la: In Tibetan means “the sun and the moon in the heart”. The city has rich natural scenery and historical and cultural heritage, including Pudacuo National Park, the ancient city of Dukezong, Kadan Songzanlin Temple, Tiger Leaping Gorge and other famous scenic spots. This place is not only famous for its natural beauty, but also because it is the key point of the “Yunnan-Tibetan Tea-horse Ancient Road”, which has great historical and cultural significance.

The city attracts many tourists with its unique natural scenery and profound cultural heritage, and is a good place for tourism and vacation. Gadan Songzanlin Monastery: is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province, one of the famous large monasteries in the Tibetan-Kham region, and also the center of the Yellow Religion in the Sichuan and Yunnan area. It holds a pivotal position throughout the Tibetan region and is known as the “Little Potala Palace”. The temple is built along the mountain, resembling an ancient castle in appearance. It embodies the pinnacle of Tibetan plastic arts and is also known as the “Tibetan Art Museum”.

Day 1.Arrive in Beijing in the evening and enjoy the night view of Beijing city

Day 2.Visit Tian’anmen Square, Chairman MAO Memorial Hall. In the afternoon, we will visit the World Heritage site, the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of Chinese emperors in the 14th and 20th centuries.

Day 3.On the famous Great Wall in the morning. In the afternoon, go to the International Stadium Bird’s Nest and the National Swimming Center Water Cube.

Day 4.Fly to Kunming, then transfer to highspeed rail to Shangri-La. In the evening, We chioce shopping in the ancient city of the “Moonlight City” on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and enjoyed the delicious food.

Day 5.Visit the Chinese mainland’s first national park, “Pudacuo”, with many Tibetan villages along the way, and then bless the family at the largest prayer wheel once included in the Guinness World Record.

Day 6.In the morning, we will visit songzanlin Temple, the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Tibetan areas of Yunnan province, where countless believers of all ethnic groups come to worship every day. In the afternoon, visit the Napa Sea around the lake, enjoy the autumn scenery of the plateau, and also exchange and experience at the Thangka Painting Center.

Day 7.Visit Nixi Village in the morning and make pottery and wooden bowls with the local Tibetan people. Along the way, enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Jinsha River (Yangtze River) valley, and take photos at the Red Army Bridge and Baima Snow Mountain.

Day 8.Get up early to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrises in China: the sunrise at Meili Snow Mountain. You can stewed mulberry leaf in the pagoda park to worship this famous sacred mountain. In the afternoon, visit the Lancang River Grand Canyon and hike at the Taizi Temple to enjoy the low-latitude glaciers rare in the world.

Day 9.Visit the Heart of Shangri-La, which is where Tibetan people get the key before worshiping to the sacred mountain. Every day, Tibetan people from all over the country come to worship. In the afternoon, go to Dali and visit Erhai Lake, the largest lake in Yunnan.

Day 10.Go to Kunming and visit the Dianchi Lake. Then go shopping in the pedestrian street and enjoy dinner in the snack street.

Day 11.Return to Kathmandu and end your wonderful trip.
